In To Kill a Mockingbird which character did you like the best, and why? You must give 3 reasons, and specific examples from the novel to support your reasons. This assignment is worth 20 pts. and must be completed by Fri. May 16th @ 11:59 p.m.
My favorite character in To Kill a Mockingbird is Atticus because he acted the same when he was at home and in public. As said by Miss Maudie. He also makes little exceptions, like when Jem was accused of killing Bob Ewell and Atticus still didn’t make an exceptions. The only Exception he makes are for innocent creatures. He tried to defend Tom Robinson because it was his job. He proved Tom was innocent even thought he knew no one would agree with him. He sat outside the jail and put his life in danger to make sure the people don’t get to Tom Robinson
The person that i liked most in To kill a Mockingbird was Dill. One reason why Dill was my favorite character was because he always had an open mind and made things up to look cool in front of Jem and Scout. The time dill came to Maycomb for summer and said that he got to drive a train there he made that up. The other time he ran away from home and said that he had a journey just to get to Maycomb from where he lived. Those were some of the reasons why Dill was my favorite character.
The character I liked the best was Arthur(Boo)Radley. Boo was my favorite character because he never really did anything negative or wrong. He didn’t bother anyone in the town and minded his own business. Though almost everyone in Maycomb talked bad about him,he never really seemed to be like that. In the novel when Jem went back to the Radley house to get his pants they were neatly sown and placed on the fence. Another time was when Boo put the objects in the knothole for Scout and Jem. The man that was portrayed to us in the beginning of the novel wouldn’t do those kinds of things. Another reason was because he saved Scout and Jem by killing Bob Ewell. In the Finch’s house he was in the corner by himself and very nervous because he wasn’t used to being around people. That took courage to take Jem up to the Finch home because he had never met any of them. In the end he and Scout had formed a friendship that no one else had. This was why my favorite character was Boo Radley.
My favorite character in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird would have to be Jean Louise Finch (Scout). Scout is my favorite character becasue she is one of the characters that has change a lot in the book. She has also showed us that she has matured and is not as inisant as she was in the beginning of the novel. My three examples from the novel that showes us that Scout has matured and has changed is. One in chapter 23 when she decides to hang out with Walter Cunningham but in the beginning of the book like in capter 3 she beat up Walter and she said she was better than the Cunninghams that shows us that she knows or at least thinks that everyone is the same. Two would be in chapter 30 when she makes a connection with Boo and she knows what and where is likes to be that shows us that she understands and knows what Boo likes but in the other chapters she wouldn’t know what people like because she was still to young and inisiant to know and she would probably ask all these questions but with Boo she didn’t. My last example is in chapter 30 again when she askes “well it’d be sort of like shootin a mockingbird, wouldn’t it?” that shows us that she has really grown and she really understands what was going on in that scene and she is not a inisint girl anymore she is mature now andhas learned throughout her life to understand what is going on and now she has. That is why my favorite character is Scout in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
My favorite character in the book To Kill A MockingBird is Dill “Charles Baker Harris” because he is so intereseted in seeing Boo Radley. The reason why I like him so much is because i am a curious person as well. If I was a character in this book i would wanna meet Boo Radley as well. Every summer Dill came down and had diffrent adventures to have Boo Radley come out the house. Dill was a dreamer because he would always think about haven a baby with Scout. In conclusion Dill is my favorite character because he is exacly like me.

The character that I liked the best was Boo. The reason why I liked Boo the best was because he never started trouble with anyone. Another reason why I liked Boo is because he is a real mysterious person throughout the entire novel. You really don’t know who he is until the end. The last reason why he was my favorite was because though everyone in Maycomb said bad things about him, it really didn’t bother him. These are the reasons why Boo is my favorite character.
My favorite character in the novel is Atticus. I liked Atticus because he believed that everyone deserved to be treated equal. He never tried to cause any harm to anybody. In the novel when Atticus drove the car to the jail when Tom Robinson was being held there he assumed that there would be people there to kill him. When the mob came he was there and did not let any of them get to Tom because he deserves a fair trial. Another reason why i think that Atticus is a good person is because when he thought that his son killed Bob Ewell he was going to make him go to a trail. He did not want this to happen because they would lose respect for the Finch family. The last reason why Atticus is my favorite character is when he did not yell at the judge when Tom was convicted to the death penalty he just walked out and did not say a word all the African Americans respected that.
The character that i liked the best was Dill. Dill has a very hard life, but he has figured out his own way to deal with it. When he lies about who his father is, it just shows how much he wishes he had one there for him like Scout and Jem does. Another thing that i like Dill is that he is a very curious individual and he expresses by always trying to figure out a brilliant way to get Boo Radley to come out. The most important trait about Dill that makes him a unique character is that even though he’s from the south he isn’t racist like everyone else. When he started crying because Mr. Gilmer was talking to Tom in a way that suggested that tom was trash is when we see that he has not been effected by the racism like every one else.
In the story To Kill a Mockingbird, my favorite character was Atticus. Atticus was a very understanding man, who tended to see through others shoes before making rash decisions. He would also see things through to the end even if it means he would fail or it would bring negative effects. A good example of this is when he took the Tom Robinson court trial and he said he would put all he could into it, anything less and he wouldn’t be able to look at himself in the same way. Also another reason that i find Atticus to be my favorite character was that he willingly chose to give up shooting because it gave himself a “unfair advantage’ even though he would still use a gun if there was no other way, as when Tim Johnson had gotten rabies and had to be “put down”. Atticus is the same inside his home as he is outside on the streets which i find to be a very respectable trait.
The character i liked best in the book TO Kill A Mockingbird was Boo Radley. I liked Boo the best because he was the mysterious person through out the novel. Nobody really knew what he looked like or what his personality or life was like. People just made up things about him and his house. I liked how the other characters in the book said boos father kept him trapped up in the house all his life when they didnt even know for sure. Then the night the other characters met boo they found out the real truth about boo. Boos father never kept him trapped up in his house. Boo wanted to stay in his house to stay away from everyone in maycomb so he wouldnt get stirred up in everything that whent on, like the racism and everyone judging people no matter what they did. Boo also turned out to be a very nice guy and saved jem and scout at the end of the novel from bob ewell. I liked how boo turned out to be a nice guy. All the rumors about boo turned out to be wrong. I also liked boo because hes the one that made scout realize what whent on in maycomb and made her put himself in her shoes.
In To Kill A MockingBird the character I liked the best was Arthur (Boo) Radley.I like Boo Radley because he was never hateful or negitive toward anyone.Boo was portrayed at the begining of the book as a monster. Jem and Scout thought that was true. During the novel Boo was nice to the children because he placed gifts in the knothole tree and sewed up Jem’s pance that he left when he was caught in the fence at the radley place. Boo was also nice to Scout when he placed a blanket around her when she was outside watching Miss Maudie’s house burning down.The final reason is Boo protected Jem and Scout when bob Ewell tried to kill them. At the end of the novel,Scout finds out Boo is not a monster. This is why i liked Arthur (Boo) radley.
My favorite character in To Kill A Mockingbird was most definatly Scout. The reason for this is that as the story progresses she begins to mature. When the story begins she has a very naive. Dill Jem and her all have this ridiculous idea of what Boo Radley looks like and tries tricking him to come outside. Also instead of seeing Cal as a since of protection, Scout believes Cal is out to get her. In one particular incident when Walter Cunningham is over and Scout makes a rude comment about his eating habits. Almost immediatly after she did this Calpurnia yelled at her and made her finish eating in the kitchen. The final thing I like about Scout is how she doesn’t allow anyone to bad mouth her family or get her in trouble. She hit her own cousin at a family gathering for saying someting about Atticus, even though she didn’t know what he ment by it. She got the sense it was bad by the tone he used when he said and that was just enough to set her off. Standing up for your love ones is a very honorable characteristic, which I believe I have. So in one way or another I see myself someone portrayed through Scout.
My favorite character in To Kill A Mocking Bird was Atticus. Atticus was my favorite character in the novel cause he was a very understanding and a respectful person. I also feel like he is someone i would like to be like when im older. He showed courage when he had to shoot Tom Johnson, because he thought it was and unfair advantage so him doing that showed he had courage. Also he beleived everyone was equal and everyone shouul;d be treated the same. During Tom Robionson trial even thow people thought he was guilty he still faught to prove that Tom was not guilty, also he thought Tom deserved a fair trial. In thw book To Kill A Mocking Bird Scout is my favorite character. She is my favorite character because of her way of handleing someone who insults her family. Durring Christmas her cousin Francis calls Atticus a descrase to the family. So Scout hits him in his girly face. Anothr reason why she is my favorite character is the fact she understand nothing. What I mean by this is during the trial Jem says that she does not even know what the crime was. Just to look smart she pretend to know what it means so people think of her as an adult. My last reson is in a hard time she will treat people with respect. When Boo asked her to walk him home she let him lead because it show respect for him. This is why Scout is my Favorite character.
In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird my favorite character is Atticus Finch. I like him the most because he is a character who represents the idea of how an ideal person should be. He is a single parent with two kids – Jem and Scout. He has to work the whole day yet he always finds time for his kids. Every night after dinner he would read a book to them. He is always there for Scout if she needs any help. One day after school she asked him why her teacher, Miss Gates, did not like Adolf Hitler so he tried to explain her.
Also Atticus is not racist like everybody else in Maycomb. He treats all people equally no matter what color of skin they have and what social level they come from. For instance in the novel he had to work on the Tom Robinson’s case. Tom was an African American who was accused of raping a white girl. All people knew that he was innocent, but they would not show it just because of their prejudice. Atticus was one of those people who were trying to help and support Tom.
Also Atticus was always the same in public as he was at home. He never tried to show off in front of anybody. He was honest to everybody. That’s why all people respected him. Miss Maudie told Scout about this.
That is why Atticus is my favorite character.
my favorite character of the novel is Boo radley. i think he is one of the nicest characters in the book. like when miss maudies house was on fire and it was cold outside. He went over and placed a blanket on Scouts shoulders.Another reason he is my favorite character is when he places those gifts in the tree hole for scout and jem i thought that was really kind heated. My last reason would be when he saved scouts life when she was getting attacked my bob ewell. I mean she couldnt even protect herself and he had the courage and bravery to save those kids life. Boo radley is by far the best character in this book.i really enjoyed this book. I especially liked our class discussion during classes.
In the book To Kill A Mockingbird my favorite character was Scout. Scout is my favorite character because she was herself. She never let anyone bully her or put her down. Scout always looked out for her family like the time when Atticus went downtown Scout followed him. Scout liked pretty much everyone in Maycomb. She was never mean to anyone for no reason. Scout beat up Walter Cunningham because he did something to her first. Scout new her manners and had respect for people. Her teacher was mean to her and she just let it go without talking back. These are some of the reasons why Scout is my favorite character.
My favorite character in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird is Scout. Scout changed in many ways and learned a lot throughout the book. She learned from her flaws that she had in the beginning and changed them. In the beginning Scout was just a little girl that didn’t know how her society was. As she got older and went through a lot of things with her father and the trial she learned to see things from a different point of view. At first she Scout didn’t understand why she was always told to act like a lady, and to look at life through a different view then hers. Scout wanted to see Author “Boo” Radley so bad that she didn’t think about how he must feel with her, Dill and Jem always messing with him and his yard. Over the years she finally realized that Boo didn’t want to be around people and have attention like she thought and Boo really wasn’t a bad person. She also realized at the end of the novel that Boo looked and thought of Jem and her as his children. As the Tom Robinson trial went on Scout seen her society of Maycomb change to her but really she just realized that that’s how Maycomb has always been she just didn’t understand it. Scout is a very smart girl and she learned from all her mistakes and things that happened in her life. It made her a smarter and better person because of the Tom trial, Bob Ewells, going to church with Cal, and just looking at life the way her father told her to. That’s when Scout is my favorite character.
In the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, my favorite character was Scout. Scout was my favorite character because she is the youngest of one brother who is older than her. When I was Scouts age I was a tomboy, I always wanted to do what my brother did, but as my brother got older he didn’t want me hangout with him as much he wanted me to act like a “Girl”. In the book as Jem(Scouts older brother) got older he didn’t want Scout to hangout with him he wanted to her to act like a girl and hangout with girls. This is a connection that Scout and me had when a I was a little girl. Scout is a very sensative person. she fought over something the was said about her family and she took it offensively. The difference with this situation between Scout and me is when I am offened with something that was said that I don’t like I Dont let it get to me because I know its not true and thats all that matters. And Scout she just flips out and has a rage. Another reason why I like Scout is because she excepted the fact that she was a young lady and began to act like one as if she had an older sister to be an example but she had Calpurnia and Aunt Alexandra as an example and u could consider them as a role model of an older sister to help her be a young lady. This is why Scout is my favorite character in the novel is because she was a tomeboy and became a young lady. It took her a lot of realizing to do it.
In To Kill a Mockingbird the character i liked best was Atticus. Atticus wasn’t like the rest of Maycomb, he did what he knew was right and it didn’t matter to him what people had to say about it. Atticus did everything he could to help out Tom Robinson, people talked about him, and he just ignored them and kept doing what was right. Another reason Atticus is the character i liked best is because he wasn’t fake. Atticus didn’t believe in changing outside of your home, he was always the same inside and out of his home. The last thing i really liked about Atticus was that he believed that everyone is equal. Atticus didn’t care who you were,what you did, and who your family was, he would just treat you equally anyway. When Atticus thought Jem(his son)killed Bob Ewell he still wanted Jem to go to court, he didn’t think that they should just make up some story and say that Jem didn’t do it because Jem wasn’t that kind of person, Atticus wanted Jem to have to do the same things anyone would have to do if they killed someone. This is why my favorite character is Atticus!
The character I liked the best in,” To Kill A Mockingbird”, would have to be Scout. The reason why I like Scout the best would have to be that she reminds me of myself when I was younger. In the book, Scout is always trying to hangout with Jem and Dill, just like I was with my older brothers. When i was younger, my Mom always tried to teach me to be more of a lady just like Aunt Alexandra tries to do with Scout. In the novel, Scout stands up for things she believes in and things that she is taught and i’ve grown up to be the same way that Scout is. Scout also appreciates that Attticus(her father) teaches her important values and things that should be important to her. My parents,espically my Dad has teached me many important values and lessons. These are the reasons why Scout is the character i liked best in, “To Kill A Mockingbird.”
In To Kill A Mockingbird, my favorite character is Boo. The reason why I like Boo Is because he was never around and that made him mysterious. When I was younger I was never around. I would barely live my house unless I had to go to school. When I got older I would come out of the house more. For an example Boo was always in the house and never came out. Then several years later he finally came out because of Scout. The second reason I like Boo is that he is very kind. I am very kind to a lot of my friends and family. I like to help other people. For the example is that Boo would come out for Scout but no one else. The thrid reason is that Boo can only trust one person. The person he can trust is Scout. I only can trust one person and that is my sister. I can tell my sister anything and she wouldn’t tell anyone including my mom. The example is that Boo would come out and play with Scout. Another example is that Boo put a blanket on Scout. This are the reasons why i like Boo. Boo didn’t do anything bad in this novel.

The reason why I like Atticus is because in the novel he is a loyal person, is very understanding, a respectful person, and he is a courageous lawyer who defends the blacks which no one else would do but Atticus. Atticus had the courage to shoot Tom Johnson because no one else would shoot the dog, they were too afriad of Tom Johnson which is just a dog. This is why Atticus is my favorite character in To Kill A Mocking Bird.
In the novel To KIll A Mockingbird, my favorite character was Atticus. Atticus is a one of a kind person. He is courages, kind, and a good person. Atticus show courage in the novel by shooting Tim Johnson, this is courage because he put his life in danger to keep others from harm. Also he actually tried to save Tom Robinson in the case. This is courage because he was shunned by the townsmembers for doing it but he did it because it was the right thing to do. Atticus shows kindness by protecting Tom from the lynch mob. Also he shows kindness when Bob Ewell spat in his face, he showed kindness by forgiving him. Atticus shows that he is a good person by fathering his children correctly, and teaching them that prejudice is wrong.
My favorite character in To Kill A Mockingbird was Dill.Dill was my favorite because he reminded me of myself when I was younger.Dill wanted to be a clown and when I was younger I also wanted to be a clown.Another reason Dill was my favorite was becuase he had an imagination.Dill was very good at playing Boo Radley because he had an imagination.Dill also likes scary movies.When Dill seen Dracula this remind me of myself and my friends.Mostly every weekend my friends and I would go to see scary movies or we would rent one.
In to Kill a Mockingbird my favorite character was Atticus. He was my favorite because he was a very good father to Scout and Jem. He would always answer any questions they had with the honest trust. Before the Tom Robinson trail Scout asked Atticus what Tom Robinson did to Mayella was.( It won’t let me post the really word) He told her the truth. It may not have been something she could understand, but Scout being at such a young age, I think he answered it best. Another reason why Atticus is my favorite is because he tries to treat everyone equal. He’s not racist like the rest of Maycomb. He defended Tom Robinson the his case, even though he knew that the verdict was going to be guilty. The third reason why I liked Atticus was because he does what needs to be done. When Tim Johnson, the rabbid dog, was headed toward town and the only way he could be stopped was to be killed. Atticus had enough bravery and courage to take the shotgun and shoot him, knowing that if he missed the bullet would go into the Radley place. These are the three reasons why Atticus was my favorite character.
Te character thatIliked the most out of the book To Kill A Mockingbird, by Harper Lee was Atticus. I like Atticus most out of all the other characters because he treats almost everyone equal. He does not change the ways he treats his family either. Whether he is out in public or in his own house with closed doors he treats them equal and fair just the ways he treats others. Atticus does firmly believe that there are some exceptions to the ways he treats some people. For example Bob Ewell. Bob Ewell always spent that money that he recieved form the government on whiskey. He never really cared about feeding his own children. The public knew what Bob Ewell did so they allowed him to hunt when he was not suppose to, just so his children would have the food that they needed to survive. The public also allwoed him to do this because they believed that his children were innocent creatures. One other reason that i like Atticus is because he took on a huge responsibility of defending an african american, while there was strong racisim going on. He did not let the ways that Maycomb viewed Tom Robinson get to him. He kept his head up high and continued to defend Tom. Atticus has made me realize that I as a person need to try and view everyone equal and NEVER judge a person until I put myself in their skin. He has also made me realize that is does not matter whether the person is an african american or a white folk they have feelings and their own points of view as well.. Thanks to Atticus’ ways of treating people equal I realized i need to do the same and act more like him. That is why I like Atticus.
My favorite character in To Kill A Mockingbird is Atticus Finch. Throughout the book you keep finding out how good of a person Atticus is. One reason is because Atticus stood up and fought for Tom Robinson. Everyone else was scared to stand up for a black man. Also he has great couragelike when he had to shoot the dog Tim Johnson. This shows courage because if he missed, Tim would have attacked him. Another reason why Atticus is my favorite character is because he is a good father. In the novel, Atticus says Scout will have to learn to not judge people before she even meets them. This is why Atticus Finch is my favorite character in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird.
In the book To Kill a Mockingbird my favorite character would have to be Atticus. Atticus is my favorite character because he didn’t hide anything from public. “He acts the same in public as he did behind closed doors” says Mrs. Maudie, I agree with that statement because when Bob Ewell tried to kill Scout and Jem Atticus thought Jem had stabbed Bob Ewell. When Heck Tate [Sheriff] said that Jem hadn’t Atticu said that he doesn’t want people to say that Jem’s father bribed him out of the situation and that he didn’t want Jem to be treated different because of his father. Also Atticus showed respect towards everybody. He showed us this during Tom’s trial to Miss Mayella by addressing her as Mamm and Miss, this shows that he shows repect towards everybody. Lastly, Atticus fights for what he knows is right. During Tom’s trial Atticus stood up for a black man and didn’t mind what people said to him out in public. He also gave Tom the best defense he possibly could give to him. These are my main reasons why Atticus is my favorite character in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird.
In To Kill A Mockingbird my favorite character was Jem. Jem was my favorite because he was brave, caring and curtious. Jem showed that he was brave when he defended scout and protected hiself when they were attacked by Bob Ewell after the halloween party on their way home. Jem showed that he was caring when he told his dad that he would not let the mob hurt him outside of the jail in Maycomb while Tom Robinson was there. Jem showed he was caring when he went over to Mrs. Dubose house and read to her which helped her quit her addiction to morphine. That is how Jem showed he was brave, caring and curtious. That is why Jem was my favorite character in the book To Kill A Mockingbird.
My favorite character is Scout because she is a good person and a very ambitious person. I like her for a few reasons one of which is she is a very brave girl and isn’t afraid of much. She shows this by not getting to affraid when she and Jem are attacked. She also is a very mature like i see myself. This why Scout is my favorite character.
In To Kill a Mockingbird the character that i liked the best is Boo Radley. Boo Radley is my favorite character in the novel because everyone always made negative remarks about him. Like how Boo was suppose to look like, and how he would act like. But at the end of the novel, Scout found out how Boo Radley was really like. And all the description that everyone said about Boo was false. I always thought that Boo wasnt a “bad person”. This is because he played jokes on Scout and Jem. Like how Boo would put things in the whole so Scout and Jem could find it. Another is when Jem pants go caught in the fence and he had to leave it there, but later on in the night he had to go back for it cause he knew someone would find it, and say that Jem was out late. When Jem went back for his pants, his pants was folded on the fence and sewed up like something that he would do. So this made Jem realize that Boo knew that Jem was coming back for his pants. Throughout the whole novel, I knew that Boo Radley must have cared for the children. This is because he would always keep a watchout for them, like how Scout was rolling down the hill in the tire and she fell right infront of the Radley house, when she did she heard someone laughing from the Radleys house. Also when Bob Ewell tryed to go after Jem and Scout, Boo ended up saving them. These are my 3 main reasons why Boo Radley is my favorite character in the novel.

I like Atticus bravery durring the novel when no one else would shoot the mad dog that was coming into town, he took the rifle and shot the dog himself. Atticus shows respect to everyone. When Mrs.Dubose was yelling at Scout and Jem, Atticus reply to her as a getlemen saying Mrs. and Mamm. These are my reasons why Atticus is my favorie character during the novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
The chracter I liked the best was Atticus I liked Atticus cause he has nothing to hide.”He acts the same in public as he is behind doors’’said Miss Mauldie.Atticus even the Jem stabbed Bob Ewell he didnt hide it. Atticus is very respect ful bcaus he is very prper. he always would explain everything t the kids. he explained Tom’s crime to Scout. This is why he is my favorite chracter.
My favorite character in “To Kill A Mockingbird” is Boo Radley. Boo is my favorite character because he felt Maycomb’s disease would take him to if he left the Radley’s house. All Boo did was sit inside and look out the windows for most of his life, but the people of Maycomb talk of him as if he wasn’t human, “He’s 6 1/2 feet tall with yellow teeth and eats rabbits”. Another reason Boo is my favorite character is that he saved Scout and Jem from the Cunninghams. One more reason hes my favorite character is that he’s not infected by the Maycomb disease like the rest of the town. And finally at the end of the book Boo and Scout become “friends”, which had never happened before with anyone.
My favoret character was Bob Ewell. Not because he was a good man but because he was a important character in the moral of the story. He isa teacher in his own screwed up way. He dose’nt teach like you would think of a teacher, he dose not teach by example. He teaches by showing what not to do and the wrong that can come out of it. he shows the reason why not to mess with others lives to makes yours better. He said that Tom Robison did something that he did to make his name special so he could get more booze. he beat his own daughter to do this. he is a determined man to get what he wants. He wanted to Atticus and he got very close to doing through kill ing scout and Jem. These are my grounds for liking Bob Ewell
In the book to kill a mocking bird my favorite character would be Atticus. I picked atticus because he was a very understanding guy. He was a nice guy and help out the best that he could. For example the Tom Robinson case. He help Tom out as much as he possible could proving that he was really innocent.Even though Noone else seen him inncoent because he was black but atticus fought as hard as he could. Atticus Seems like he puts everyone before him self. He didnt wnat to see anyone in danger when he Saw Tom Johnson and knew it was a dangerous Dog he protected everyone else and shout Tom Johnson. Atticus Knonws right from wrong. He stood up for a black man when no one else would have. He fought for him. Just like he would have fought for anyone else. Thats why atticus is my faviorite because he puts his feelings before himself and he fights for not just himeself but people that need him.
My favorite character would be Atticus.He help others in any way he could.He was a good dad to Jem and Scout. The best part of the book I think was when we try to help and defend Tom Robinson with the Mayella case. Another reason why I like Atticus is he wasnt raciest like everyone else was.Its like the color of there skin didnt matter to him.He didnt treat no one different.It kinda seem like he wanted to treat everyone the same/equal.He acts the same no matter where he is at.For example Mrs.Maddie had said Atticus acts the same in public like he does in close door.That was true.He is understanding/cares about others.
Hes there for them.Trys to help them out the best way he can.He gets the respect.For example when they found Tom Robinson as guilty as he was walking out they stood up to show him respect because no one in Maycomb would of stucken up for a black.That is why i like Atticus so much.
My favorite Character in the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird” would have to be Tom Robinson. I chose Tom Robinson because he is very True, Caring, and Clean. Some things about Tom is that he had been true to his word in the trial against Mayella Ewell and Himself. He had told the whole truth about what really happened at the Ewell’s house that day. Tom had been very kind hearted by helping Mayella with work around her house and her yard. He had felt sorry for her and helped her just about every day with yard work and house work. Tom also had been very clean. He had been clean because he had tried to look and dress nice every day even though all the black people had been living behind the town dump. I think that Tom reflects me because he doesnt judge other people, he is kindhearted, he is trustworthy, and he is a very clean person. These are reasons why i believe Tom Robinson is my favorite character in the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird”
